I finally got out for the first time this spring and went to a spot ive been itching to go to all winter. Another hill top area where they used to have fourth of july parties every year. It was wooded and hard to work with alot of old cans and junk in certain areas. I knew this spots been calling me. On the top of the hill near the water tower i found a 1937d walking half at only 2-3 inches. Then i proceeded to work down the hill through the brush and around some larger trees. Then i found my first standing liberty quarter a 1930 plain. My wifes misplaced the camera computer cord so ill have to post pics later. A great start of the season. I love doing the wooded areas. The detecting pressure isnt as heavy and because of the hill and the trees, coins dont seem to sink as fast. Its a liitle more work fighting the brush and sticks but its well worth it.
