Illinois Boy hunts down South

Larry (IL)

Well-known member
Most of you had a chance to see the videos and that showed most of my finds but I got them cleaned up and a picture taken, I'll have to get a display for them now. I got a good assortment of relics including the three ringers, some Burnside's, a carbine, couple of Colt 44's and my favorite, a .69 musket ball. Some fired bullets, a buckle and a part of one but the green thing at the top looks like some type of handle found in two pieces is old. Ideas anyone?

The other pic's with me keeping one eye out for gators and snakes...... and EJ and I reviewing and ID'ing the finds I had made.

Who's the good looking guy with you? I hope you didn't keep that cap. Nice pictures Larry. I can't wait to hear all the details.

Is that a door handle to an outhouse?

 No, I think that is called a rope..........

Nice finds Looks like you had a really good time.:twodetecting::whites::thumbup:

Is it a valve stem 4 a tractor tire ?It looks like 1 I found recently that is in the junk in the back of my truck. Yazoo

That does look like a tractor valve stem....... Not sure though..... as I know very little about Civil War Relics it could be something from that era...

Thanks Mike, I'm sure you are right. We were hunting in bean field when I found it so it makes sense to me.

The other stuff was some nice stuff too You got there Larry! Mike (Yazoo)

Interesting Finds. I often wonder how some of those bullets got flattened!

Nice hunting with friends. Really seems like a nice time. I hope to go with my neighbor next week. He uses an OOOOOLD C-Scope and knows some spots.

Hey, where are the headphones?!

EMS

Thanks all for the comments everyone ............... and the headphones?.................... I started out with them but we were in the middle of nowhere and always interested in when someone else found something so off they went, it worked out pretty good because EJ with the camera was on his way when someone was pinpointing.
