I'll give up on this site, when it gives up on me!

I went back out to the "silver mine" today.

I was eager to dig early on, and kept digging nail after nail.... searching for those deep silver.

I got a scratchy, iffy tone... and as always gave myself a minute to work my way around the target. All of a sudden, a nice high tone jumped out at me through the crackles.

"What the hell, let's dig it"

I doubt I would have went after this target later on in the hunt.

About 6-7 " down at the bottom of the hole, I encountered a nail.... I rechecked the hole and directly under where the nail was, was this 1929 Georgius dime. It's in fantastic shape.

I also found a Rosie about five inches down. This one rang in loud and clear. No junk around that one...

Later on in the hunt, I went after a pull tab signal which revealed this interesting button. Non-military, in rough shape... but, still a neat surprise.

I think I'll give up on this spot when a hunt doesn't produce any silver/large cents (which is soon no doubt). Until then, I have to keep at it...

Happy hunting!

I have posted some things that I've found in a real small farm yard. I have been there four times now and each time I think that I have hit every inch, but it seems to treat me well each time I go back. What I have been doing is changing direction of approach, changing coils, changing settings and I think the moisture in the soil might change also. What I'm trying to say don't give it up til u walk away confident that there is nothing left behind. I sure am glad being fairly new at this, that I learned this valuable lesson early in my hunting career.

You're right, Grizzly. We cant give up. My buddy went there on his own today, and hauled out 5 more silver and a large cent. He's getting pretty good with that CTX...

After this hurricane passes, I'll give it another shot. :twodetecting:
