I'll be getting a 350 in a few days. Unless things change the field test will be in W&ET. If Garrett allows it I might sneak one on here.

Cant wait to hear your opinion of the new machine!

Can I come up to Portland to help you test it? hehe:cheers:

Just remember to take it easy, Uncle Willy. Don't get excited and over do it. The old gray hoss ain't what he used to be.

If you are able to metal detect, you are truly blessed. Happy Hunting. I want to read that issue of W&ET for the field test. Let us know what issue, if possible.

I went to the website where I buy my metal detecting stuff and they are not advertising the 350 yet. Supply and demand at work.

Even tho I can't metal detect right now, I have been wanting to get an Ace-250 for a back up detector with a sniper coil, but if after your tests decide whether or not the Ace-350 is the better buy, I can make my choice.

I am in the UK, but am looking forward to the first field tests to be revealed. I am sure the Ace 350 and Euroace will be the same apart from the control panel decals. What is W&ET, is this an American magazine?

W&ET is Western and Eastern Treasures magazine. Been around since 1963and is one of the primo mags in this hobby. Yeah I doubt there will be much difference between the Euro and the stateside version other than icons and such for their specific coin denominations. Think it's going to be a hit like the 250 was.

Dang bud, sorry you can't get out there and poke around in the dirt. I certainly hope things improve for you soon Yeah the demand for this puppy is overwhelming at the moment and dealers are coming up short. When Garrett leaked the news early they had no idea of the customer reaction and were unprepared - but I could have told them what to expect. Most dealers are taking preorders only at this point in time.

Unless you just can't wait I would opt for the 350 just for the new added features - most especially the DD coil and slightly higher frequency which should turn it into a goodie demon. Good luck in your decision.

Bill.

I'll try Mick. It's going to be a welcome relief to have something new to play with and talk about and I'm sure this ain't the only one coming down the pike.

Bil

Hop right on up. HA. I wonder with the slightly higher frequency and the new DD coil how it would fare with your nuggie hunting. I've got test nuggets but it's not the same as real world nuggetshooting.

Glad you're getting some in. I know the big distributor in Dallas sold out in nothing flat Let us know what you think. I'm supposed to get one in a couple of days. Keeping my fingers crossed. :)
