Sept. 14th, my birthday. It was a nice Sunday to begin, lt was my birthday. The wind started picking up. I had plans to go M/Ding later. WRONG! My neighbor gave me a tree. Now I have to pay for My detector then my garage.

it was called "an act of God", so my insurance had to pick it up. It got my car (not too bad) and my son's car (real bad) and my truck. My wife was gone so her car missed the tree. My neighbor never offered to help, but his time is-a-comin.

Was the tree noticeably rotted or uprooted before it fell??? If so, you CAN get your neighbor on a law suit for negligence....

It happened to me some years back. My tree fell across the property line damaging the neighbors property. I filed with my insurance and they took care of his damages. I felt liable, since it was on my property

I don't like to see anybody sued, it causes hard feelings and makes it bad to live next door. I just would rather irritate him a little more than he does me. Since the tree fell, someone has put peanut butter on the supports of his raised porch legs every other night. After all the skunks have to have some place to dine, why not under his porch? The trees are also dropping more limbs in his yard than mine, but only at night. He likes to keep his yard cleaned up of all trash Makes you wonder why they fall when there is no wind to make them fall. Ah yes, it so much fun to like in a small town in the country.
