I hadn't hit my IH park for quite a while and I was short on time so I figured I'd give it a quick hunt. I found a few IHs: 1884, 1888, 1892 and a few wheats: 1911, 1919, 1923.
Also found what I thought at first was a padlock charm but it's marked "PAT APL'D FOR" Any ideas ?
The last item, when I first dug it and it was dirt covered, I thought it might be a floral design piece of a statue or something. After I cleaned it I wasn't sure what it was. Seems like it might be layered molten metal or something ( it isn't iron or lead, possibly copper). Anyone have any Ideas?
Thanks for sharing. Bruce

Thanks Samuel. I agree, pat applied for. At first I thought it was a charm but why would a charm say "pat apl'd for"? Maybe it has a different use as it seems like a complicated fabrication for a charm.

Nice finds bud. Could be a charm replica lock. Hence the "patent applied for". Just to exactly replicate sn actual lock maybe?

Great hunt Bruce. Could the charm be one of those old chinese finger trap thingies? I have no idea. Nice hunt though! JJ
