I've been digging some pre-1900 coins from an old racetrack that is now a corn field. Most of the copper coins have been very corroded. I went back today and decided to hit the hillside around the field, as it has never been farmed. I also figured that the coins might be in better condition without being exposed to chemicals the past 100 years. I found 3 IH and 1 V-Nickel. The nickel is red, as usual. But the IH cents were in very nice shape. X-Terra 50 with 18.75 kHz 10.5 DD coil. Full sensitivity, GB at 19. HH Randy
