Iffy signals

Audio rules. Consistent TID is nice, but if it sounds good it gets dug.
And it's not what you can make the machine do. It's what you can't make it not do.

I dig it if it gives a chirp of a high tone and does it multiple times. Most the time it is trash but I have dug a bunch of coins and relics digging those signals. If the xterra gives a high tone consistent even if it has low tones with it there is usually something in the hole with that iron that is a high conductor.

I found two silver dimes in my driveway that were very iffy signals. Very faint tone and almost no consistency. Deep silver is tricky to find and you have to slow down your sweep speed and listen very carefully. Just my two cents. Happy hunting.

I skip iffy signals. Sure, I might pass up a few keepers.
But I dont care.
Happy hunting, Kev

That's all great for you if you live somewhere that has an abundance of old coins to find. Personally, spending what time I have available digging clad is a waste and jewelry is hit and miss. There are way to many detectorists in my town. Searching trashy or hard hit areas for "iffy" signals is the only thing some of us have left.
