IFFY NICKEL SIGNAL VIDEO

Member
Getting cold but no snow or frozen ground yet here in NW Missouri. Got out to a private today & shot video of an iffy nickel signal that turned out to be an old ring. I have dug a lot of old deep nickels and jewelry with this type of signal. The numbers are all over the place each side of what a nickel should read & the tone pitch is right but it fluctuates odd. Pull tabs & beaver tails seem to be really clear tones & the numbers are close to a nickel's numbers but don't fluctuate in tone or number change very much. All these signals seem to pinpoint well.

I found a 1928 wheat, half a bronze padlock cover & part of a 30's era Hubley die cast Packard in the same area as the ring today. This private has yielded a 1912 barber, 1943 Merc, 1954 Roosevelt, 1916 buffalo and 10 wheats, oldest being a 1913 D. It is a large area that had 3 houses and associated out buildings at one time and a lot of the ground has been moved around. I keep a grid pattern going & hit hot spots every so often.

Picture of today's finds & video link attached.
