If your favorite White's detector disappeared...

No Contest Matt, I would buy another X L Pro:thumbup:

One of the finest Whites analog ever produced, and a

real fun machine to use. it works very well here in the U K.

Land or Beach (MAGIC )

Garrett AT-Pro.

I own and use two brands of detectors. White's and Teknetics.

My two favorite White's models (and I could add one or two more to the list, if we are referring to discontinued models) are the modified IDX Pro and XL Pro. I have my 'Mr. Bill' modified IDX Pro in the van now, and am looking for a choice-condition XL Pro. If either of these were in my possession and then stolen ... AND if I was unable to track down another 'as-new' replacement ... then I would rely on an M6 (for the same rod/housing fell and close performance as the IDX Pro) and an MXT Pro (which has a physical package closer to the XL Pro and more mode options to fill the gap of the XL Pro).

Of the current line-up from White's, and while I use the Spectra V3i a bit, I still firmly believe the M6 and MXT/MXT Pro are the two models that 'fit' the largest number of devoted and savvy detectorists out there. naturally, as I do now, each of those would be equipped with the 6

I would replace my M6 with another M6. Now, if the M6 just disappeared from the face of the planet and Whites had nothing new out that was similar then I would replace it with a Teknetics Omega 8000 just b/c I hear great things and want to try one!
