If your explorer was stolen or lost?

How could they? I sleep with mine LOL

We kind of have this symbiotic relationship going on.

Oh, we have our spats every now and then, but then we make up and she goes out and brings home money.

She knows when to talk and when to shut up. She also sings in perfect pitch too especially when she gets around some really good money. Oh, did I tell you she loves rings too? Well, we all know they love jewelry.

If someone stole her would I go out and get another? Well first I'd try an Amber Alert, then I'd put a pic of her on milk cartons, then as a last resort I'd put a pic of her on those hand bills you get in junk mail. If all that failed and she never came back then, yes, I'd have to get another. I'd probably pic another one up as a mail-order bride from one of the sponsors on this site. :smoke:

To sum it up once one learns the abilities of an Explorer they always will have one in their stable..Sure I use other units but the Explorer is sure a silver magnet.
Most Explores are sold because the operator never learned them or how to handle the weight and ergonomics which is doable....

Considering my explorer has found about $8.000 for me this year.(My biggest find was a ROLEX watch) I would buy another Explorer. Thought about the Whites DFX, but after tring my friends out for a few days I realised that it's just not as good a an Explorer. Feels Cheap, and less finds.

Generally speaking if a thief broke into your house i bet if he so a metal detector he would probably leave it alone , most would just tthink it would be pretty worthless on the street value , just a guess but i would bet metal detectors are stolen mostly by detector users!.
A guy posted a message once saying his house had been broken into but they left the explorer alone.

I would absolutely buy another Explorer. My Explorer is so very dirty I don't think anybody would want to steal it.

my insurance is a replacement type of insurance and since the Explorer II can't be bought new anymore, I'd get the most current model of the Explorer.

Besides, I agree with alot of folk here...metal detectors are low on the thieving totem pole. Of course, those car thieves will take anything so that is why you make sure your home and contents include the car.

Would I replace my Explorer if I could do so? Maybe if I really wanted to get an Excalibur for some diving and wading and then use my XT-70 to detect the rest of the beach. Thought has crossed my mind more than once lately since I moved close to the beach esp after talking to a older gentleman last weekend who does a long dive/swim every morn from one point to another. Says he always finds stuff such as jewelry on the surface...may have to go order an Excab now that I think of it. :)
