How well will my Orginal Eldorado keep up with a MXT! I am finaly getting to go on a real Civil War Relic Hunt, and I would like to know if My Eldo will do allmost as good as a MXT? I can borrow a MXT, but I have never used it, and I hate to use other people's stuff! So I am hoping someone out there can give a little advice.
Thanks In advance
Greg

Gary, While the MXT may out perform the Eldorado, the edge may be in you knowing your Tesoro and not knowing how to use the MXT well. MXT full cw on sensitivity, disc at about 2-3, relic mode, ground tracking on... On deep targets, the display will win out over the audio...Hope things go well...Richardntn

I mainly use my Deleon, but the ground is bad where I am going, and I think It would give me problems? What do you think?
Thanks Greg

Either machine handles mineralization around here just fine...I would think that the MXT would have the edge on handling bad ground though.... Thanks Richard

No I don't.... I always used a Bandito II Umax or a Lobo ST... Deleon should do okay though....Run your sens. as high as you can and your disc. as low as possible..just knock-out the smallest of iron..not just for the relics but to pick up the extra depth that dropping the disc. allows...Tnx Richard

Thank you sir very much, for I have never been relic hunting, and I am very excited to go. I know my Deleon the best, I had problems with it at first, sent it in twice, when I got it back this time, it is hot!!Running the sens at 1 or 2 a coin in the ground 1" will over load it! So It will be a great time no matter what!
Thanks again Richard
see ya Greg

some minnies, buttons, a plate, and whatever else you can think of that you might find so you can see how it sound's on your machine? I think this would be a big help with whatever machine you use. I use a SovGT and a Tejon. One the GT with a digimeter, all lead minnies of all kinds read in the 170s with 180 being a clad quarter and 179 a copper penny and 176 being a zinc penny... nickels read 145 on it. I still dig a lot anyway but if you are in a lot of trash it will be good to have some kind of idea of what a minnie and the other items sound like.
Good luck to you... where are you going to hunt?

going over in north central mo. I think I just need to settle down a little, and just do my best, and learn from that.
Thanks Greg
