If you live in PA, NH, NY, NJ or somewhere in that area, call (503) 309-6940 for a good time

That's the cell phone for Chris Beniston. Chris & Tom, at last report-in about noon today, were in PA and had some detecting contacts for today & Sunday.

They're going to be traveling north toward New Hampshire, most likely, as Chris has a sister there, but they are very flexible!

Invite them to come work a site or two with you, especially if you're using a White's, Garrett, Tesoro, Teknetic T2, Fisher, Bounty Hunter or ???? Please, give them a call and invite them to join you at one of your 'worked-out' sites. Show those two what a real detector can do in the hands of a skilled detectorist! :)

If you have the time and/or want to point them in some direction of potential older-coin sites, especially during the week, please make that call.

They won't be home until the 26th of this month, and they need to hear from a few more fans of this great hobby back east who are willing to share some sites, as well as those who would just like to meet up with some 'average sort of guys' from the NW chunk of Oregon.

Now, if you should have the opportunity to spend some time with these two good fellows, please do us a favor and report in on what make/model detectors you all used, the type of site(s) hunted and the site's age, and of course the results you all have.

Perhaps you'll be the one to show one or both of them that there are some mighty-fine detectors out there and they ought to consider selling what they have and switching to something more deadly for the older and deeper silver coins and such!

Happy Hunting, and give Chris a call. I dare ya! :D

If they want to swing over this way to a little town in Mass I'll take them to some places and show them what the DFX can do, we have many old towns out this way I live about 20 mins outside of Eastern NH so let me know.

Name, Phone Number and the Name of the Town ... or just call Chris directly.

I can pass it on to him.

Sent out an e-mail and a call to Chris with no reply, guess I'm to far out of the way or the DFX scared them away

and were going to be in NY and NH over the next few days. Several forum regulars (or irregulars ;) ) have called them and hooked up. I called them about lunchtime (there) today and Chris said pickings were thin yesterday, so far as silver was concerned, but they each got a King George copper, so that was pleasing.

I can't recall who he said they were going to meet up with. Steve or Mike or ???. They could have been out of cell range when you called. Give them another try and let them know who you are, where you are, and some sites you have in mind.

Believe me, I am anxious for ANYONE with a DFX or other mid-to-top end model from White's, Garrett, Fisher, anybody, to show them up! You folks in that NE corner are pretty heavy into White's detectors, which I have no complaints about, but I haven't heard of anyone yet out-finding them with their Explorer II's.

Please, you, or anyone, give these two good guys a call. I know you'll enjoy their company, and I want to see a report on some of you hunting an old site or two and getting the better finds.
