Some coincidal history.

The 8 reale coin was valued as $1 in the US up to 1857. The term 2 bits, a quarter, is a reference to the piece of 8. 8/4 = 2. There was a 2 reale coin which was the original 2 bits was the quarter dollar.

I found a Maria Theresa Thaler about 30 years ago about 20 feet from a Peace Dollar. They've been making the Maria Theresa piece since 1780 keeping the same date. Your piece would probably be worth a bit more as it's almost 50% off center.
