If You Had The Choice, Would You Metal Detect Using "AUDIO MODULATION" Turned On Or Off?

Audio modulation is basically a setup on metal detectors where the target response audio is affected by the distance of the target to the coil. So.....the closer the target to the coil, the greater (louder) the audio response. The further the distance from the coil, the less (quieter) the audio strength. Both have their benefits.

Both off and on. On for the deep Squeakers and off when you need to verify that it is a deep Squeaker audio. HH Jerry aka Tinfoil. Happy Thanksgiving Guys and Ladies.

I like my detector with modulation on ! My hearing is pretty good and with a good set of headphones, all I have to do is listen for the soft high tones , which is usually the deeper, older targets that I am after !! HH Tony

i really have thoug about this quite a bit. i wish i could turn it off on my at pro sometimes. it would be nice with a on/off feature.

I agree....having that option would be great. The other way to use the AT Pro with no audio modulation is to hunt in standard mode.
