Hey there Tabdog,
Since you have been highly acclaimed as the motivating factor behind AB R & D and various other presentations, perhaps you would be able to clear up discrepancies in this comparison.
The skier says he ONLY does parks and schools and will Never go to the beach.
Would switchable frequency benefit him at all?
If you are not attempting to operate on the beach, with an otherwise unsuitable machine, and you continuously operate at the same local parks and schools where soil conditions are moderate, why is a GB machine superior when shallow hunting.
Were you able to read the Mike Hillis post on the Golden?
...He did add a GB & coil... His explanation of why he likes the golden suites my needs very well.
Sometimes my regular spots are totally blasted with tabs and caps. Without notch capability it would be untenable.
It seems the dual discrimination on Tejon (like fisher 1266?) would be more valuable than the workhorse vaquero's switchable frequency, which far as I know is only helpful in competition events here conflict may occur.
Just occurred to me the spanish model of a vaquero and his workhorse would be tested prancing in a ring before a crowd.
The real work of cattle being done by a barefoot muddy peon with a long switch. Ha! Ha! Pobrecito compadre.
Any number of folks have claimed it difficult to sell the golden.
Perhaps with a local route of sites ,with acceptable soil conditions, it's performance could shine.
