If you could only have ONE machine to hunt with which would you have??

Only allowed ONE machine for General md or waterhunting or gold.( the things YOU do) One machine that could do it all?? I think my Tesoro Stingray 2 could but it has no meter...... It would be a hard choice! BHID does have a meter and gets great depth but is noisy in high iron trash. But I think the SR2 would be the best choice for every detecting need I do.

WOW!

Uhh, I have about 1500 hours or more behind the screen of an XLT, which I no longer own.
I was very used the the XLT and did well with it.

Right now I am getting by with a nice used Tesoro Bandido II uMax.

If I win the lottery or get a nice tax refund, or stimulus check, I would want an "Explorer E-Trac"

TOO MUCH DIRT, NOT ENUFF TIME!

I am mostly a coin hunter, so the Garrett GTI 2500 is my choice in my soil. The true all metal mode has the sensitivity to pick up tiny bits of gold, especially if you use the sniper coil. The Garrett 2500 has a nice variety of coils available for different environments. It has the option of sizing a target in discriminate mode, and can be ground balanced in true all met mode giving great depth, yet gives a probable target ID too. So...it works for gold, coins, jewellry and has nice depth with the right coil ground balanced for relics. Works for me :)

I am very happy with my X-Terra 70. Now if money was no object at all prpb the new E-Trac, beale.

I have an X-terra 70 and its been my choice for a do it all detector for some time now. It has a variety of coils that are differentl frequencies and that makes it great for everything from coinshooting to relic hunting.

its simple

Excalibur 11 that's all there is.........the end,

Don't faint. :inlove:

Since I got over the depth thing-mine would be the Ace 250. I have learned how to adjust the sensitivity to meet the most demanding needs I come across, am getting the sniper coil, the 4 batteries keep expenses to almost nil-they last a l-o-n-g time; they get better depth as you speed up the coil-so competition hunts would fit in;the notch(coins mode) is better than most believe-and I can even add the foil area by programming it in the coins mode if I want a better chance at rings;I can get tone ID and VID in a/m mode;I can exclude all targets except the one I want if I were to hunt for someone's ring;and it's not that much of a slouch on depth. Of course, I realize that I'm not a serious professional-but I sure am having learning the detector! I am at the point now where I can raise the coil and motion pinpoint in 2 sweeps-getting ready for competition hunts.

Yes carneykevin, BH detectors are all good units. My two favorite
BH units are the Land Star and the Time Ranger. First Texas is
the company that makes Bounty Hunters and now owns Fisher
detectors as well with some great new units like the F-70, F-75,
F-5, and others in the "F" series, all great units.
