................................ which detectors should be on that list. Your submissions ..please......

The Treasure Baron Cointrax 2 definitely has a cult following.

I'd say Troy and Compass as well.

Minelab Sterling-Tribune-Musketeer X
Teknetics Mark 1

The Detectorpro Wader or Pulse would definitely be there. Small but extremely loyal following.

Whites XL-PRO, IDX PRO, 6000

When investigating what to buy for my first detector (ended up with a Fisher F75), I saw "Ace 250" everywhere I went. Just by virtue of its' exposure it should have a place on your list.

Tesoro Tiger Shark, Minelab Excalibur & Sovereign

Sovereign, and the biggest black sheep I've ever owned would be the QXT Pro. Never got the press the XLT or DFX did but it'll beat either one of them in depth on silver/copper coins. This machine was hated among Whites users who spent more for the "flagship" Whites, and also smeared as being very different and odd in it's behaviour. Not to me. It acted more like I thought a computerized detector should and the audio was second to none. Just enough computer control to max it out in depth yet not enough to slow it down or make it slugish like other computer models. I heard long ago that some Fisher guys went over to Whites and had a large hand in it's design. It always felt that way to me...The depth of a CZ (deeper than one when I compared them head to head in the field), yet with the discrimination and audio of a Whites. Best of both worlds. If only somebody would make a 12x10 coil for it. I ended up going to some Explorers but they never showed more depth in my soil on silver/copper, and so on to a Sovereign GT and now I'm seeing more depth than any machine I've owned thus far in my soil.

The Sovereign is unique in that no other machine seems to be modded and customized by it's users. It can also chest mount right out of the box so it's as at home wading the water as it is in an old park. A true amphibious machine. Doesn't have a flashy display or big promotional material going for it, but many argue it's the deepest machine on the market including myself.

Anybody use a Wilson detector?

Made by XXXXXX of XXXXX XXX XXXXXXX, these machines have some pretty rabid followers who claim they are just about the best metal detectors made.

The absolute, without a doubt, cult machine within the last decade would be the Troy Shadow X5.........The faithful are still looking for the next Shadow to appear.
