If this forum was a tv show.....it woulda been canceled in the first week...(grinnnnnnnn)

Hey you,
I've been in snowed in Richmond,Va since Sunday. Just got home last night. Send me that CD when you get a chance.

fundyoldude posted this message (below)...
....Hi All:
I'm new to this so bear with me. For this question, please ignore printing large images. For now, I am only concerned about posting images to the web.
If I shoot my images at say 1280 x 960, using a "Fine" setting for compression, will I have better looking images when I reduce and post them to the web at say 640 x 480, then if I shoot them at 640 x 480 "Fine" in the first place? In both cases, I Save As .. "High - 7" jpegs in Photoshop LE. If you spot anything wrong with this process, please let me know.
Thanks for any help.
fod:)
.....and noboyd on the forum offered him any advice.
<STRONG>I thought this was a help forum.</STRONG>
I later posted and asked why no one offered him any advice. I could not.<STRONG>Again, no no one responded.</STRONG>
Now, I see fundyoldude posting away and he appears to be quite an expert on digital photos, etc...
<STRONG>What's going on here?</STRONG>
At any rate, I enjoy his posts very much.
As to my contributing more to this particlar forum....<STRONG>I really am not into photographing fly and knat's asses, just metal detecting stuff. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> </STRONG>

I personally don't give a good rats ass about takeing pictures of a guy detecting a friggin beach but I did not insult your old ass. I tried to help.
You don't like this site, leave for all I care. I answer questions I know the answer to and don't try to BS on the others.
Funky asked questions I did not know the friggin answer to so I did not answer him.
Just why, in your insulting manner, do you think a person that knows how to use Photoshop should automaticly know cameras. Many people scan their pictures.
You are still an arrogant ass, aren't you.....

Royal, I put your name in my post because I was responding to your "arrogant" post. (which is not unusual for you). I put RM's name in because he is the moderator. I never implied or said that you or RM should have answered funky's question, but, I thought the question would have been elementary for the kind of expertise you guys show in your pics.
You'll have to ask Funky, not me, why he didn't know the answer to his question. I would love to know the answer myself.
And, don't tell me there haven't been a few fly asses posted on this forum. Maybe that's why it gets so little attention. After all, this site caters to metal detectorists, not olde codgers like you and me who love to play with their .........errrrrrr............."cameras."
Good to swap jabs with you Royal, I see you're still sharp as ever.

Don't make me kick your arse in here...
Now take your toys and go home..
