If the original owner failed to send in the warranty card is the ctx warranty void?

I would not think so. If you are thinking about or have bought a machine give Minelab a call and ask. The warranty is transferable regardless. Minelab 1-877-949-6522 HH :minelab:

Most never use warranty cards these days you can just check online to see if it was one electronically!

Proof of purchase date (invoice, receipt, shipping labels, etc) from dealer will work, but it can take a little while to sort thing out between Minelab, the dealer and the warranty provider. I just experienced this with an Explorer SE pro that was still within warranty. As long as all parties are easy to work with, this process does work, its just slow.

The Minelab warranty information page is clear; you have 14 days from purchase date to register the detector for warranty. After that you're SOL.
