Went out and hit the wet sand today and found there was a few swingers in the cuts so i decided to walk way down the beach away from everyone, I'm sure glad i did after about an hour i found a crematory tag. I said a little pray and sent it out to the depths. as i was turning around i got a beep and dug the silver ring. the hair went up on my neck with a couple goose bumps. i looked out to the water and asked if i could find something better with gold, haha 20 minutes later i found this Rolex watch, The hair really stood up then chills even. I gave it a shake and the second hand started to move, and the watch had a lot of encrusting on the stainless and some on the crystal. A little work took most of it off. After talking to a friend on here that has some knowledge about these i sent him a few pictures and described and answered all the questions i could. He then said everything sounds like its the real deal but you still have to take it to the Jewelers just to make sure. If it is i think ill have it repaired, I always wanted one so now maybe i have one.......I'll post tomorrow if its real thanks for looking

I'm not so sure about the watch, but that gold on the bezel sure looks real! I know on the fakes a dead giveaway is supposed to be when the date not perfectly centered.

A super find.....hope its real...don't think it would still work if it was not real in that condition...WTG

Wow a rolex!.The owner could be traced through rolex. The person could be missing?Shark attack? You could be holding valuable evidence. What happens when the person is on the nightly news and you got his rolex watch?not good!.Awesome find Kent! :surprised:

Great find! If the second hand moves without ticking round I would say it is real. The winder would be in a much worse state if it wasn't gold. They all have a serial number on them, if the person has reported it missing to Rolex and you take it to a dealer they might by law have to notify the police or something.... I would find someone to fix it up for you, but not a Rolex shop. The bracelet strap could be got on eBay, and a service could be done by any jewellers... Great find!, hope its real and you get to keep your find, best find ever, It's worth about

There are PLENTY of fakes and they sometimes sweep the second hand as well(I've owned several fakes). It has to be opened by a Rolex certified dealer to know for sure. When Rolex uses gold on a watch it is 18K, so an acid test of the bezel edge, or knob would tell you that you have a winner without opening the watch. I ASSURE you that the NONE of the fakes are using 18K!

After bringing it to the Jewelers and having the back popped of it is a REAL ROLEX now to have it repaired saw them online selling for around 5400 :)
