kinda fun listening to you ticking Mary off:biggrin: To bad you didn't have Fred in the back seat:devil:
Super nice job on the videos buddy!

and it is a bear trying to figure the thing out.

Thanks

The road looked pretty good for most of the way, you just have to remember that those are 'real' island roads. Come drive them in Bermuda on a 50cc scooter, all the while driving on the 'wrong' side of the road. I'm hoping to see the whale watching footage soon.

Cheers Mate,

Eric

I traveled a gravel mining road in Idaho that was one lane up a steep incline around the face of a mountain with an occasional spot that was just wide enough to allow a second car to pass.

Cars on the down-grade had the inside lane and the right of way!

Some of your Maui footage brought back a flood of those scary memories!

Good stuff Royal, but I don't think I want to watch it again!!

I got the feeling you know what I'm talking about when you told Mary, "I ain't lookin!!" when she wanted you to look at the whale!

"White knuckle" driving is not my cup of tea!

Best to you and Mary,

CJ

I would do it again and I don't know if it would bother me as much knowing what is coming but that was such a surprise! I would take an Isetta or a Cooper next time though :D

There will be one about out whale trip later today

Nice and clear and killer views. They sure have a beautiful place to live in. The first one of the bleak lava lands made me wonder how long it will take for these ares to have the greenery and wild life that the rest of the island has. Got to take a long time for that to become able to support plant life etc. Then again, perhaps not. Sure enough valleys for everyone to live in one. Be a great place to retire to one of those valleys is you wanted piece and tranquility.

that looked like a great drive along the coastline there. I do hope you have video of the whale and the kangaroo episode. Got to be thing of beauty.... I can relate to the death grip on out of the way roads while in areas out west running along some of the canyons . Jane was driving a lot of them and I was hanging out the window filming only to take my eye out of the view finder to see we where inches from certain death. It cracked her up anyhow.

Great videos and shots from the planes. Looks like you guys really enjoyed yourselfs and covered a lot of ground while there.

Thanks for the post and link. Look forward to many more.....

the Big Island, Kona, is the youngest and Kauai is the oldest and is almost all green. It takes a long time to revegitate it seems. We sure did a lot and I am still tired but don't regret is a bit. At least until that dang Visa bill comes in that is :(
