IDX vs 6000 xl

Eric

New member
I wonder what detector would be better for sniffing out the hammered or Roman coins. IDX or 6000 XL. Have to mention that a 5.3 bullseye coil will be used.

Does the 6000 XL also work well on trashy sites with the smaller coil?

thanks for answers,

Eric, Netherlands.

The XL Pro is hard to beat  and works well with the 5.3" coil.,it also works great with the 8" coil which is my personal favorite on the XL Pro. In my opinion Whites should have never stopped the production of the XL Pro detector. I believe the XL Pro is more versatile than the IDX Pro which relies on pre set modes. The XL Pro has more over all usable adjustably, also the Xl Pro is set at max power and utilizes the signal balance control to match and stabilize the power signal this utilized with the proper ground balancing of the detector will give the detector max power and depth. If the signal balance set up is done right I do believe the XL pro will outperform the IDX Pro, plus the XL Pro's ID meter is right on the money.

Best of luck, both detectors will do the job.
