idx threshold and mxt

Mr.Bill enhanced my idx with this enhancement he put a threshold in all metal while using the idx with bulls eye coil i noticed a peak in threshold sound while hunting i did not dig any of these,it was to deep for any display on screen.So this bother me wondering what was it going over could it be a deep coin or iron junk?So Monday i took my mxt 10 dd ex coil attached and idx carried them both, both running started to look for those peaks with the idx started to come across some wanted to checked some with mxt.Iam going to tell you these items were down 7 to 8 to 10 inches deep yes a lot of them were junk according to mxt display iron foil some don't know i did try to dig a few its hard to put down two detectors and dig and re check the hole. One which i put back in the ground now i will have to go back to retrieve it looked like a old axe head i mean old like Indian old,looked iron like but shaped like a axe head not bought at store.Some of the others were junk but what iam saying is the threshold will grab deep items and will not show on display.So now i will have to try different areas to see if it is picking up old deep coins but with the small coil and with the mxt to see what the reading are,I have the stock coil for the idx but need to buy lower rod and bolt kit still i like using small coils for separation and going slow to find deep items found a couple coins with idx down 5 6 inches .I use the mxt in all modes to check the signals from the idx.Trying to see if i can find a quirk in the threshold so i know it is a deep coin.Such as the ghost flash to the left of nickel and back on idx display which always turns out to be a nickel and not a pull tab.
