Got to detect in the old drive-in theater today. Big finds were the Sterling Ring and the 1937 Buffalo nickel, and $4.99 in clad. AWESOME!!

Yep! I used to have the IDX Pro five years back and ended up selling it. What a mistake THAT was!

Love my IDX Pro. Have never gone out a single time without bringing home some coins. In January I found 5 mercury dimes, 2 buffalo nickels, a few wheats, and a Walking Liberty Half all in a 5 x 12 strip under the front stoop of an old building that was torn down that day. Been detecting since 1972 with White's detectors. When I bought the IDX Pro a few Decembers back I got excited about hunting again. Even got photo in daily paper while out last summer that caused some interest in the hobby with some of my co-workers. The exposure also got me permission to search some new sites.

Hi,
Just wanted to say that I also have a Whites IDX Pro. I love it! I have had it about 3 years now. I have done very well with silver coins and silver rings. I have still not found any gold coins, or gold rings yet. Any tricks with this machine you know for getting gold?

Kevin, the gold has so far eluded me, but I'm hoping to change all that next weekend. My kids are getting out for spring break and we are taking a familiy trip to the beach. I'm going to hunt all I can while there! I'll post pics of my finds! Tim
