Hi,does anyone have an idea of what this might be? I was thinking sword but the handle looks all wrong,any help would be appreciated,thanks.
 
Its a canle holder that they used in Mines in the 1800's to early 1900's, they would drive them in a crack in the rock wall and put a candle in the eye for light, lot here where I live in mining country. Grubstake

They called them sticking Tommy, you can look them up, different sytles but yours is basic. Grubstake
 
Thanks,me and my brother in law dug this on the alabama florida line at his great grandads old home place,he will interested to know that.
