Hello Just wondering what Id numbers have appear for coins , jewelery , gold or relics in the different modes on the quattro if possible such as I had 35 numder for a dollar coin in the coin/jewelery mode thanks

It makes no difference what mode it's in, the numbers will be the same. The only difference is that if you have it in a mode that won't pick something up. For example, a small ladies gold ring might read "8". But you have it in Coin mode, which discriminates out 8. Therefore you will get a null instead of a signal. As for what numbers things show up as, there are as many different numbers for gold rings as there are gold rings. Because most of them are different size, differetn carat value, etc. Same with coins. Are we talking American coins here or what? You won't normally find an American dollar reading 35, because a quarter reads 38. But depending on what country and what metal, sure it could be 35. Or if it was very deep it might read low, but not usually with the Quattro...usually ID's accuratley even at depth, assuming you have taken the time to properly sweep the target and get the true correct reading off of it.

Gid'day Daniel,
Mike's right about different readings for different rings, jewelry and relics. As for our Aussie coins, dollar coins prior to 1996 read at 34, after 1996 they read at 35. $2 read at 34, 50 cents at 25 or 35 dependant on the date, and 20 cents at a reading of 20. Because a lot of our relics on the goldfields are made of copper, brass and even lead, they differ in readings due to the metal, shape of the object, and ground conditions sometimes can change the composition of the metal. Generally with the relics, I find the sounds are good and distinct in most cases. Some relics will overload such as an axe head or old iron. It just makes it all the more interesting! (speaking of the quattro here).
Regards Angela:)
