Went today with f75 and small coil , got 4.26 clad, 5 wheats, 1946 dime , and some kind of silver charm 1914???
 
The 1914 is an Iron Cross, first or second class (WWI metal with that date), but not the medal itself. It was either a pin or a ribbon, depending on class. Yours is too small. Possibly to commemorate having won one to the owner?? It would also not have has a figure on the backside. Possibly something from the Order of the Iron Cross - made up of receipients of the medal.

The "W" is for Emperor William II of the time.

Not sure what that is John. Looks to be a surfing metal. Thouhgt the crown was kind of a British/Canadian symbol. Very cool find thou and fine dime too.
