ID NEEDED ON TAGS

I dug these tags out of the same yard and never figured out what they were for. I have read that in the early years, automobile owners were issued a tag to attach to the dash of their cars, kinda like modern license plates, but they were made of aluminum. These tags are plated brass or bronze, so I'm
not sure if these could be automobile tags or not. Any ideas as to what they are or were used for ? Thanks............

My guess: Looks like you found room tags 59 & 2 to a motel / hotel. Ask the owner if there use to be another structure on the property. Is this lot close to or on a main road? Interesting finds. - Jim

I would think room numbers would be larger, my guess is locker numbers and if you turn "2" over, it makes a pretty good 7.

I'm with Larry . . locker #'s.

You guys could be right.....thanks.

yep lucky # 7 it is.
