Hi bought a minelab id meter yesterday but unfortunatly cant see the numbers "to small" does anyone know were I can get the sunray id 11 meter from I realise they do not make them any more but does anyone know were I can get one please .

Post a wanted ad in the Classifieds. They show up from time to time. GH, David@Dixie

You can scour the classified section, they come up from time to time but dont last long as they get swooped up quickly. The sunrays numbers are the same so it may be tough for you...the sunray meter has a better viewing angle and that may be the ticket, but the number size is no different ...........good luck

JM,

Do you want to sell the one you have?

sorry sent it back only had it one day,one other thing the straight shaft also blocks the view of the meter could do with a fitting for the end of handgrip to fix it to.

I have used both the Sun Ray and the Minelab digital meter and the display is the same to see, but the angle is where the difference is. Now there is one way is to get a bracket I believe David at Dixie sells the will put the meter up higher and at a better angle for the Minelab meter. Another way is if you use a Sun Ray probe you can get the one for the Elite/GT that the control box sits on top of the shaft and the meter will sit on top of the probe switching box so it will be easier to see. I just got done building a XS2 with a straight shaft set up I bought and the meter sits on top of the hand grip which also is a great set up. Here is a picture of it
