..........Im calling it"spend as little as you can for Christmas".........Now,Im not condoning being cheap, but as for whomever started the belief "the depth of the love you have for your loved ones is measured by how much you spend on them for Christmas",they oughta be slapped............If the only thing some people understand about Christmas is they are gettin diamonds/new vehicle/furs/ fill in the blank, WHATS THE SENSE to celebrating Christmas???NOW,Mike here had a good idea-a $10.00 limit on gifts for Secret Santa. Its not the AMOUNT spent, but the THOUGHT that goes behind it!!!SO!!!-To prevent anybody spending LOTS of money they may not have, lets ALL get back to the REAL meaning of Christmas-CHRIST!!!Christmas Eve service,a nice family get-together/dinner on Christmas Day,and sure-maybe some gifts that ya dont have to use Mr.plastic to pay for. That's what my wife,me and the in-laws are doin this year-Celebrating the birth of the Savior,NOT increasing our debt-load..................AMEN!!!!

Well, I am one who doesn't have a money tree to pick for purchasing lots of gifts or expensive ones....so won't be breaking any banks or loading my credit cards for I'm trying to pay those I have off and, adding more debt sure wouldn't do it! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

My brother, Larry, gave out Jimmy Swaggart Bibles to me and all the other relatives...a different one than I already had...but just how many Bibles can a person have and use? The one we use the most gets the wear and, hopefully, the scriptures get deep down into our hearts and minds for godly wisdom and knowledge enough to spread Jesus' gospel to the world! Mine is the KJV -- Thompson Chain given to me by my same brother and his wife, Wanda, in 1986 and I really like studying it and learned more in the last 20 plus years than I did in all the 50 years previously by the leading of God's Holy Spirit! Unless He leads us into all truth than reading the Bible is like any other book for it takes God's Holy Spirit moving within us to reveal what the scriptures are telling us and the more we seek and ask of God the more we gain wisdom in Who He really is! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
