I dug this interesting piece in a construction area where the asphalt has been removed. There has been no modern trash but lots three ringer bullets. I didn’t think much of it when I found it I could tell it was old due to the gilt I could still see. When I was able to run it under water and remove the clay I could see some wood left in it and after some pondering in looks like a flag staff piece connection. Has anyone seen this before ? There are no markings on it and this is all that was in the hole.
