Found this in a tobacco field where we had been finding some indian artifacts. It is 2 3/4" high, 2 1/2" wide 3/8" thick and has had a lot of chiseling done on it. Can anyone identifiy it? Any help appreciated. Thanks HH

1996 Quarter and a rock. Sorry man couldn't resist. I wish I could help ya out there. No idea.

Looks like it could have possibly been a hide scraper, that has been hit by modern field machinery, possibly causing some of the chips, the one I found is approximatley the same outside measurements, but not near that thick, although that doesn't mean anything, depends on the individual maker of the item, and what was available to him at the time to make it out of.
