ID Excell Question

just lookin

New member
I have noticed a lot of used ID Excell for sale, I have never owned a Fisher but have hunted with a veteran hunter that uses the CZ's, I would be gratefull for some thoughts on the Excell.
Thanks Greg

I bought a used one last year and it's been a great little coin machine. The I.D. system is pretty accurate and it pinpoints good also. The parks I hunt are "No dig" so I have to use a probe to recover coins. It's not as deep as the CZ's so it just depends on the type of hunting you do.

That the prices on used ones make the Excel the best bang for the buck easily. It's lightweight, amazing in trash, & plenty deep especially in all metal. One big reason I think you are seeing alot for sale used is not because they are a poor unit, only because folks want to "step up" to an Edge or one of the other new ID units that just came out. I know a few folks that like to try 'em all, end up keeping the Excel just for weeding through trashy iron sites...

Thanks to all for the replies, you guys have told me what i wanted to know. I think it would be a nice to have the money to buy every new detector that came out, so a person could find the machine that works the best for him or her, maybe if I win the lottery, i will put in a internet store where you can pay for using a new detector of your choice for like two weeks, then you can decide to buy it or return it ( would that not be cool?)
Thanks for the help
Greg
