ID Excel ???

Looking at mid price machines and wondering about how the Fisher ID Excel performs. I mainly hunt for old coins. Live in the midwest and currently use the Ace 250. I like the idea of the numeral ID screen. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks and keep digging.

I used both the ID Excel and the 250 Ace side by side in a Michigan park. The Excel found coins deeper than the Ace 250.The Ace will air test further out but in the ground is where it counts.I have also owned and used both the Coinstrike and Edge I liked the Excel better its a great detector so is the Ace.If you are looking for old silver coins the CZs really work very well. Used Sovereigns are great a lot of accessories are available, but a after market straight shaft is a must.

Yes...The F4 is, in my openion the better machine between it and the Excel. You also may want to consider the forthcoming F2. Simpler, less expensive and I'll bet every bit as deep as the Excel.

The best deal out is the COIN_STRIKE . You can buy it for 1/3 of the normal price and I don't think any big buck unit is better. You can buy one for the price of the toys.
