I have been thinking about the Garrett ace 250 for Nancy to use.Would I be better off to look at the ID Excel for her.I have never used the ID,was wanting to know how hard would it be for her to use,she has never really hunted before.Whats your thinking on this for a first time user.I take my 3D with me on the road, she is bugging me about her own detector.

My wife uses my CZ5 all the time & more time then not, she finds more then I do. That CZ5 is a coin killer. Unfortunately they stopped making it for the CZ3d, but you can still find some nice used ones out there for under $350.00.
The ID Excel is similar to the C$, but easier to use.
Good luck,
Mike

The Excel has a very good Factory preset mode that basically anyone can use & it becomes a turn on & go unit. Even will ground balance for her automatically. You can't go wrong with either choice really....
