ID Excel, Minutes Out Of Box

I just got my new Excel last night and woke up to rain this morning. The rain stopped so I took it over to my neighbors house which I test all of my detectors. This is a very easy detector to use and the decals make it look like a toy, but is anything but a toy. I set it up with little disc and sens at 8. Ground balancing was a snap and within a couple of minutes, I got a repeatable high tone that pinpointed at 32. I was expecting a rusty nail, but from 7 inches out comes a 1932 wheat. Not an earth shattering find, but this place has been my own spot for 4 years and I have hit it with every detector made. This detector has the sounds and feel of a Coinstrike and I think it might be the best value on the market. R.L. Johnson

it packs alotta punch for the price, & a magazine said:
"B. Laid says it can hunt with the big boys!"
I often say when I use the Excel I never feel as if I have stepped down alot from the C$. The balance is awsome & some feel the Excel could be even better in trash I know I used all metal mode to pull buttons & rivets outta a Civil War camp that had been hit by every detector made for like 30 years. Otto also brought up a great feature I had not been taking advantage of. Turning disc down to
-36, & getting all 4 tones in an all-metal type mode. Most run disc @ 00 to not hear any iron. Hopefully the flames don't give off the perception it is just a begginner unit...HH, Bill

and he had witnesses in that camp! (The Coinstrikes didn't do half bad either!)
