So what is the reason that fisher released the id-excel again? Is it leftover stock or what? Will there be any coils for it other than the stock 8" ? Just wanted to see whats up.
 
My guess is new old stock, but the price point from a Findmall sponsor is one of the best bargains I've ever seen! If I didn't already have one I'd jump all over it!

Yea look at Bill I remember that pic lol. Id jump all over a 10.5 inch coil for mine if there was one but there aint dang it. I wander if i can swing 2 of the excels at the same time one in each hand :drinking:
 
After having two ID Excels I believe the reason it is so good is the fact it does not have notch. That way you must hunt in very low discrimination and listen for the high tones or what ever you may be looking for. I don't have one now and I am sorry I traded them.....Jack
