ID Edge or F 70?

Captain Hook

New member
I now own two Minelab detector's. I have the Safari and X-Terra 70. I have listed the X-Terra 70 up for trade. I now have a couple of offers on the table. One is the Fisher ID Edge the other is an F 70. I hunt mostly parks, schools, etc.. Which unit would you trade for and why?
Thanks.

Since the areas you list are urban hunting theres going to be more electrical interference with the f-70 than the edge.I belive the edge is deeper than the f-70 also. Even deeper than the f-75 at least in my ground. plus you will get better number locks on the edge than the f-70.I would say Edge all the way.

remember the question you ask is on the classic forum so the answers will be biased towards the older fisher than the newer fisher to some degree but Im being honest with you on my view.

There both the same price but if you look around you might find a edge with lifetime warranty.thats a good peace of mind right there!

Good luck in whichever you choose

Keith

Get the Edge and the small 6" coil....

I bought a new F-70 and had to send it in for repair before I ever got to use it...

Thanks for the input. The only thing I didn't like about the Edge, I don't think it has a depth gauge.

In Pin Point mode, you will see numbers on the screen, the smaller the numbers, the deeper it the target is, 99= not very deep 1" to surface,,50 = 5" deep...
