The more I use it, the more I like it, especially with the 5.75" coil. That's what I have been using lately.
Separates targets exceptionally well as well as hits deep targets.
Hunted a schoolyard soccer field last night and picked up about $9.00 in clad for a couple hours of digging.
Went back this morning for 4 hours and picked up $13.00, some junk jewelry and the usual crapola.
Pennies found as deep as 6" was the normal as well as nickels and dimes. Lots of coins on edge.

I have determined if there is a lot of trash in the area, remove the 8" coil and use the 5.75"
On the sandy beaches the 8" is fine. Have yet to try the 10", it's a bit heavy.

Having 4 tones as well as ID numbers makes a difference over a single tone beep and dig detector.
I can gauge with better accuracy as to what's in the ground with the Edge.
I am hunting in CP mode, rejecting only items -27 to -36, sens max., switching to all metal mode for pinpointing using the pinpoint button.
Found out today with the 5.75 coil if I get a target that bounces over a large spread of numbers to sweep the coil over the targets 5-6 times briskly
and if it's a good iffy target. The numbers with briefly lock onto one number for a split second as your sweeping, if it does dig. Found some nickels this way and they were
about 6" down on edge.

May hit the sandy beach tonight, see if the local guys missed something.

Sven, I like the Edge myself. The small coil goes deep. I use the 10" coil a lot, doesn't seem to be heavy, its 1" deeper on coins than the 8" according to my air tests. I was using the 10" coil in mild soil and dug a bouncing iffy signal, it was a brass flat button (quarter size) at 9.5" deep (measured). Took me quite a while to get used to the Edge, glad I didn't sell it too soon. Also have the CoinStrike, they seem to be equal in performance and I like both equally.

Will try the 10" next time.
A C$ sold for $305 on ebay today. Missed out on it couldn't get a bid on it before it closed. Wonder how much the high bidder would have went past
the $305? Anyway hope the bidder enjoys it.

I have 1 year experience with the Edge and about 2 months with the C$. Performance seems to be equal so far. The 10" C$ coil is heavy, each of the 3 coils weigh 4 ounces more than the Edge coils. Since you have the Edge you won't gain anything with the C$, but they say if you have highly minerlized soil the C$ would work better, it has adjustable threshold. C$ has a Salt mode for beaches. The meters show the same numbers for same targets and that makes it easy for me switching from one to the other.
