ID Edge Attn: Bill

Bill,

I have a question. Is the ID Edge the detector you brought down here to Virginia a while back? I have a friend who just got one. I thought you said it was based on the Coinstrike but I just ordered a large coil for my Coinstrike and he also ordered a large coil for the ID/E. They arent the same so I was wondering if this is not the one o brought here.

Bob

PS- I first posted this questio about the Excel, but my buddy got the Edge, so Im asking about that one.

Bill, I guess I should have done a little research before asking questions.

After looking at your Field Test on the Edge and the Excel and seing my name in the Excel test, I guess it was the Excel you brought with you.

Now.... that must mean this Edge is a whole new machine and I may have to have a closer look at it.

The area Ive been hunting lately has a lot of hot rocks that come in at a postive 51. If this new Edge can quiet those I think I could pull some more good stuff out.

Cant tell you how many old holed Ive seen at this site over these hot rocks.

Bob

Yes the Edge is a brand new unit. Sorta like an Excel but with alot more depth & better audio. Yes, one of the reasons we like it so much up here is that it silences those pesky 51 hot rocks. That reason alone made it worth having. Also, you said above that you dislike the all metal sounds of a C$ (the crackle). The Edge seems alot more tolerable in all metal mode to me........HH, Bill

Bill,

My friend just got the Edge and Im hoping he will have a chance to go out with it soon. He also ordered a 10.5 inch coil for me to use on my C$.

Can you be honest and tell me if you think the Edge can keep up with the C$ on depth. I know there are other things that may give the Edge the "edge" but what about depth?

Bob

I think on all metal it will......disc more the C$ may be a tad deeper. I think it depends on the area/mineralization/ etc. In my area it's almost too close to call. I'd run the Edge on all metal & see....
Click on the "Rons Detectors" banner above & see what he say's concerning Edge/C$.
