ID any ideas MXT finds?

Got a chance to go huntin today for a few hrs....Startin to really enjoy the MXT.....
heres a few finds......I was wondering what is the long one with the lettering is?...... besides the Thimble, Button, Muskett ball and ornate brass piece?

It COULD BE: "Aut cursu, aut cominus armis" ("Either in the charge, or hand to hand"). This is the motto of a new regiment formed in 1922 by amalgamation of the 5th Royal Irish Lancers & the 16th Lancers. They then became known as the 16th/5th Lancers.

They fought as a tank corps in North Africa and Italy in WWII. They've been active in various places since, even in the recent Gulf War.

I'm not sure, but it looks like it could be a side ribbon from a Shako plate for the 5th Royal Irish Lancers, pre-1900. I don't know if they used the same motto then, but it seems to fit the plate description. All plates and decoration I can find for later periods were different design.
