Icy Grille Saves The Day-Ends 14 Day Drought!.............

Gulf Hunter

Have not been mding since 01-14, due to poor weather conditions, work and duck season (ended today at sunset). Was having severe cabin fever and Huntress was tired of seeing me mope around. Will hopefully be able to hit it a little harder now.
Arose at 2A and was in the water by 330A (late) into a 511A -1.3L and NE winds at 15-25. Temps were in the mid 40s and I used neoprene waders to stay warmer, as I figured that I would not be hunting deep today. Was running the Excal in a surf area that I have only tried 1 time before with the Mark II. Tide was out and guts were nicely exposed between the bars. The tide began coming in about an hour after I got there and ended up with $.49 and a non-ferrous gold plated button with rhinestones here.

Then moved to a clean surf area further east and left my web belt in the truck. Left after around 30 minutes after recovering 1 pull-tab and a piece of can slaw and headed a couple miles east, to another clean surf area. Got out the Aquasearch and went to work.

The grille was 1 of my 1st targets and it rang out loud and clear, scared the crap outa me!
It says, "SASO", spanish fellow I guess. Anyway, it is not marked, as I have found to be the case on my other grille. I tested with 10, 14 & 18K test acids and it held 10K. My previous grille held 10K also. On each end cap there are 3 rows of diamonds. 13 on each side for 26 and it weighs 8.7Gs. I was mighty glad to see it, as the hunt was looking mighty gloomy and I was losing heart. Also had a video game token, 2 ferrous hoops and $.57 in clad.

Bailed around 830A for 11A church service and we were on time.
