Dear family & friends,
I just received this this morning and I'm shocked.
Check out what ICE is made of - it gives me the creeps !
This MUST be the worst drug ever !
The only way we can solve this problem, is by education. If people knew
the horrible part of ICE, they wouldn't want to go there.
PLEASE forward this info to everybody, and be part of the ICE solution.
Help the people of the world with this overwhelming problem.

OUR SOCIETY. WE DON'T HAVE THE RESOURCES TO TREAT OR
TO JAIL THE GROWING NUMBERS OF PEOPLE WHO ARE BEING
AFFECTED.
ICE: a highly addictive form of the synthetic
substance methamphetamine
INGREDIENTS:
COLD TABLETS ephedrine and pseudoephedine
NAIL POLISH REMOVER acetone
MEDICAL DISINFECTANT alcohol (isopropyl or rubbing)
BRAKE CLEANER toluene
ENGINE STARTER ether
DRAIN CLEANER sulfuric acid
GASOLINE ADDITIVES methanol /alcohol
FLAVOR ADDITIVE salt table /rock
BATTERIES lithium
FARM FERTALIZER anhydrous ammonia
LYE sodium hydroxide
MATCHES/ ROAD FLARES red phosphorus
CHEMICAL STRIPPING AGENT muriatic acid
IODINE
It is a clear crystal similar in appearance to chipped
ice, rock candy or hawaiian salt.
Other names for ice include crystal, meth, clear, ice
cream, shabu, crank and batu. there is a new red
orange pill called yaba.
Ice is the street name for a smokable methamphetamine.
smoking meth delivers a very concentrated dose of drug
which can cause damage to the lungs.
SIGNS OF CHRONIC ICE USE:
Uncontrollable scratching and skin picking
Binge and crash cycle
Poor hygiene
Obsessive compulsive behavior
Sweat smells like chemicals
Severe depression and mood swings
Likes the dark
Child abuse/neglect
SHORT-TERM EFFECTS:
Increased alertness
Unable to keep still
Decreased appetite
Euphoria and rush, sexy
Increased blood pressure and heart beat
Hyperthermia
Hallucinations
LONG-TERM EFFECTS:
Addiction
Paranoia, psychosis
Mood disturbances
Repetitive motor activity
Stroke
Dang powerful
Unable to sleep sometimes for up to a week
Paranoid tweaking
Crashing
Craving
Stealing
An ice high is said to last anywhere from 7 to 24
hours
Crystal meth may last 2 to 4 hours
It stays in the body from 2-6 days
A pet scan which picks up the brain's electrical
activity shows holes,
ridges and missing sections of the brain which is not
functioning
properly or not functioning at all with ice use.
ADULTS MALES WHO TESTED POSITIVE FOR ICE UPON ARREST: 48%
ADULTS USING ICE: estimates from 8,000 to 30,000
SOME ESTIMATES PUT ADULT METH USE AT 120,000 or 10% of
OUR STATES POPULATION
1996 STUDY AT UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII SHOWED THAT 7.5%
OF 12TH GRADERS HAD TRIED ICE.
A 2000 U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH STUDY SHOWED THAT
12TH GRADERS IN HAWAII HAVE THE HIGHEST USE OF ICE IN
THE NATION
CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES RECORS SHOW THE 85 TO 90%OF
CHILDREN REMOVED FROM HOMES IN HAWAII COUNTY WERE ICE
OR DRUG-RELATED CASES.
ADULT TREATMENT FOR ICE IN PUBLICLY FUNDED
FACILITIES: from 644 in 1994 to 2,888 in 2002
CRYSTAL METH PRICES IN HAWAII: from $200 to $300 an on
ounce (enough for 10 to 15 hits)
LEGAL ISSUES:
Possession of any amount of a dangerous drug is a
class C felony
Class C felony = 5 yrs/ $10,000 fine
Posession or distribution of 1/8 or more is a class B
felony
10 years/ $25,000 fine
Possession of one ounce or more, the distribution of
1/8 or more is a
class A felony 20 years/ $50,000 fine
The rate of recidivism after treatment after on year
is 97%.
This is not just an addictive drug as we have known
them in the past.
This is the most horrible, addictive and destructive
soul destroying drug we have ever encountered. this is
going to require all hands on deck.
 
what a horrible drug and if it is there it is here - maybe not as prevalent to most of us.
