ice fishing

i dont know how thick the ice is by any of you guys, but over in eastern wisconsin, at least, most small lakes are a good 6 or 7 inches, making it very easy to drag a shanty on in the ice and start jiggin!!! i did manage to get out this weekend on saturday from 10:30 until 4:30. i didnt really catch too many, but three bluegills are worth it in my eyes. i went out with a couple of my buddies and they caught about the same. luke caught a pretty nice crappie, i would say about 10 - 12 inches. its really nice having hobbies year-round so i dont stay cooped up in the winter. no pictures this time, but tomorrow we have a half day at school and if i remember to grab the camera, i will get a couple shots for you all!! hopefully there will be many more better days coming! God Bless :usaflag:

... the cubes melt way too fast when I toss them into the Gulf and the current carries them away.

Never could get the whole concept why someone would sit out on the ice all day in frigid weather in one of those little outhouses and fish. And the fish are usually as small as gold fish when they do catch them!! Sorry, not for me...........I would prefer white sand, blue water and palm trees.

And tonight it is going to be zero so he will be looking extra had tomorrow.

... when you drive up to your house after visiting the grocery store, ya gotta lock your car every time you go back to carry another armload into the house. And ya gotta lock the house before returning back to the car for another armload.

Hope it's changed since the last time I drove by the area.

Life is not to much different here.........we live in the country and had a drug bust in our driveway with cops from 3 different towns this past summer. Hubby has Miami and SoBe on his mind........topless babes while detecting deal!!!

We had a condo in Hallendale. even that was too close to Miami. If i had to do it again, and i won't, it would be on the Gulf Coast.

its fun to see a fish show up on the vexilar and come up to your hook and then just watch the tip of the rod bounce up and down ever so slightly. i think that is about the most exciting thing next to finding a deep silver!! plus its a time to spend with my friends just havin a good time. it may not "float your boat", so to speak, but it sure floats mine
