Ice and snow in N.C. --What to do?

I know a solid sheet of ice in my part of NC also. And my new Vaq is on the way.It has managed to get from Arizona to Greenville SC so far.Maybe here tom. or thurs.

That certainly looks very yummy,if i cannot get out due to bad weather usually during the winter months i then do most of my research on new permissions.

Must admit seeing those pretzels has made me rather hungry, stuff the new years resolution of going on a diet

My Vaq has been in the trunk of my car all week and have not gotten out since a week ago Sunday.
Stay warm!

All you need now is a Beer

I am also a brewer--have 2, 5 gallon kegs on tap, but it is too cold to get excited about it now! Homebre is short for homebrew.

Homebre, I recognized that from you ID. I also can fix you up with some gooood strong home brew. I live in the foot hills and Mtns of North West South Carolina. Know NC well, retired from Duke Power after 30 yrs. I traveled all the Duke system and lived on Lake Norman for 10 yrs. when building McGuire Nuclear Station. Pretzels look great. HH

I just retired from the US Environmental Protection Agency about a month and a half ago. I have been brewing since the 1980's. I have been in Central NC for about 40 years. good hunting, and have a moderately cold one tonight!

Do ya fish? The rod builders show is in Winston-Salem, North Carolina this weekend http://www.icrbe.com/ Cool Stuff if you fish. I build a rod every year to pass the time by sitting by the wood stove, I don't detect when it's cold or ice fish. :beers:

Nope--I don't really fish anymore. I used to when I was a kid and then in my 30's but I like to do something more active. However, I haven't ruled it out. I used to fish in Jordan Lake when it was a new lake. Went on a club hunt in the snow and mud yesterday but found nothing but old metal. Wasn't my idea of a good day, but since it was a club hunt, I went.
thanks for the info.
