IB300 Info

Hi all,
This is my first post. I've been interested in metal detecting since... well some of you probably weren't born yet. My first metal detector was a Heathkit GD-348. I don't own it anymore, but over the years I've acquired a few vintage units and one, well not as vintage. Recently my interest has been rekindled. One of the older units I have is a Bounty Hunter IB300. It's been tucked away for years and recently I cleaned it up, bought a new battery holder and put some batteries in it. It fired up and seemed to work. This past weekend I went to a local park with the IB300 and my Whites rainbow Spectra XLT. I sorta set up the IB300 as best I could using a few coins and then moved off to some open area. I didn't get more than 2 feet when it rang out. My girlfriend took her knife and poked the ground and out popped a clad dime! Not bad for it's first time out in probably over 20 some years! Money on it's first run! The rest of the day wasn't real exciting. We came out with .21 and a brass button along with the usual bottle caps pull tabs and foil. I hope to find some other nice things with it. One thing I've been looking for is an owners manual for it. I really don't know the proper way to adjust it and set it up. I just put a few coins on the ground and tweak it. Does anybody have an owners manual for one that I can but or get a copy of or know where I can get one? I'm itching to get out again soon and do some MD'ing. Thanks guys!

Try Googling the owners manual. It's not a 100% guarantee but I have found a lot of different manuals I needed like that.

HH y'all.

Frank
