well it was a shourt hunt i did not have much time so i grab the Compadre to take with me i planed to hit the beach at the lake they have put 6to8" of river sand on it and its clean of pulltabs iam thinking gold chain ..so i turn the dis way down ... berfor i go fouther let me say that i turned the sens up on the Compadre to max ...so hear i go not to much to dig thin i get a fant hit very fant what the hell i kick some sand its louder i kick some more now i can pinpont it and at 9" i get a pulltab out of the hole yea it sounds like bs but next time i will try a video but for now the ring was in a spot off to the side with no new sand lots of trash i thought i would digg some targets and head home well it did not take long i had the ring it was not that deep about 4"

Nice ring. One of the reasons the Compadre makes so many finds is those of us that have one grab and use it so much of the time. Of course this is because we know that it's fun, simple, reliable and will get the job done in most locations with little muss or fuss.

Well,, I think that someone is pretty darn happy. You found the golden pull tab. That compadre sure is a blast to use. I don't think we need to tell you that. Great job. Now you can go back out and find more.. The rest will come easy... KEN

Nice! :clapping:
I like how you are thinking gold chains! Those can be a tough and nasty signal that most would not dig...little crappy wire, sometimes like a bread twist tie, or some sort of scrap foil. sure they are not as common as a ring,, they are tough to hunt, and tough for most to pick up the signal on..if you find any medallion all by itself without a broken bale, best focus up...Nice find!

well i went to the same beach to day and found a nother pulltab at 9" and thought i had it on video i started the cam but did hit play so i look for another one to fim not happing to day so i put a quarter at 9" and it would not hit it so it must be a halo efect on the pulltab about 6" on a quarter is all i can get owell did i have fun hell yea

I am thinking (kind of hard at my age) if you have a small coil for that Vaquero, you should give it a try on that beach area. You should get a little better depth than your compadre, run your sensitivity up till she crackles a little and then back off just a touch. Of course a pretty low disc setting, and if you are still thinking chains set it just at the hairy edge of iron.

If the V is anything like my T it should pick up a ring the size you found out to 10 to 12". They seem to hit harder on the gold than they do on those coins about all I am getting on my Tejon is 9" on coins no matter the coil. Also I have noticed that the WS coils seem to be a little more sensitivity to the gold than the concentric.
