i am looking into buying another water machine, and want to know how the sand shark does on really small gold in fresh water. i am not sure if the sand shark will detect really fine gold neckles ect.plz let me know what some of your smallest finds are.

If you are going to be in fresh water why not get the Tiger Shark. You will not be bothered by the smaller iron junk since it is a VLF machine with discrimination that works well. I set mine to just barely hiccup going over bobby pins etc and it does just fine. As to how small, how about 2 stud earings clipped together (stud of one through the back of the other) They were small. HH Joe
