....If it was, then I would have done better haha.... (razzin' some of the lurkers, here). Temps got up to 45 today, it just dont get any better than that around here this time of year. This was likely my last hunt for '11, and we found alot of cool stuff! I wish I had more time to clean and post more of the rest, but the bell goes off at 330 AM and I got other hub bub to do..... perhaps another time.
These finds came from a well hounded site, and less than optimum conditions.I opted for the stock coil on this hunt. Dime is '56, indians are later ones they run 99 - 07 plus a cpl flatties....I also found a toasted 65 but didnt pic it. Happy new year to all

Our little secret here... Nice

Wow nice finds!!. I would hate to quite till spring. I'm up north, 30 miles south of the Mackinaw Bridge, and I tried to go out detecting but the ground was froze solid. Can't wait to go out and try the 5x10 coil.

Gee, I wonder why more people don't recognize the G2 as the "hound dog hunting machine" that it is. I have several Tesoro's and a Garret that would not even come close to competing. The G2 is a "race horse" compared to them, especially because of the discrimination. As Ken stated above maybe its best to keep the "secret " to ourselves! Here in New Mexico there is not much of a sink rate and most of my older finds are no more than several inches deep. After finding over 3000 clad this year along with 44 rings the only thing I could wish for is an upgrade with even better discrimination as to reject the quarter size pieces of rusted metal that are prevalent at old camp sites.

Sounds like u had a good year...I know what u mean on the quarter size rust items, I dug my fair share of them in the beginning, but not too much now... And even if I get into a site where I dig a little more iron, the trade-off is more than acceptable!
